Well guys, I scored this morning!!!At 7:10 am I killed my first turkey; it was my second time turkey hunting. After learning from this siteandother sources, I took the information and run with it. Thanks to all for the advice andhelpful info.It all started with roosting some birds Friday evening and setting up in an adjacent field.I set up my decoys, hit the box call, wasbreezy and windy this morning, 4 gobblers came in silent on a string to the decoys, they separated and the one closest on the right got popped!! He was taken with my 870 Super Magnum with 3.5 in. Federal High VelocityFlite Control #5's at approx. 30 yards.
He weighed in at 17.7 lbs with a9.75 in beard and 1 inch spurs.
Score: 17.4375+10+10+19.5= 56.9375

Atta boy jbar....we are cruising. My season starts on the 26th, but I can't get out until the following weekend. Keep up the good work team. I will get my butt in gear after the honeymoon, with any luck it will be on film.
