Well...I hunt a "private" lease, but it's only 1,200 acres with 12 other members and there aren't that many birds.

If you can come to LA and kill a bird on public land, then you have done someting. There is alot of public land around the area that I hunt, but there just aren't that many birds. I hunted public land last year, and found 1 bird all season.

TN was a bust this year as well. Rained the entire weekend and the particular bird we kept trying to set up on all weekend, never gobbled once. Made for reallt tough, wet hunting. Still have 4 weeks coming up here in KY to get it done. I feel confident for the home court advantage.

First, Great bird Bubba! And for those who have scored already... CONGRATS!!! I haven't been able to get on here since changing jobs. But luckily things are calming down. I"m glad to be on the team and since my season here in VA starts in 2 weeks, hopefully I can contribute. Everyone have a great season and be safe!!!

Well guys, I head out for a full 10 days of turkey hunting this afternoon. I'll be hunting easterns in south LA till tuesday and then I leave for west TX to try my luck on some Rios wednesday. I'm not going to have internet access[&:] the entire time, so if/when y'all score this week, just be patient and I will update the scores as soon as I get back. I will also hopefully have 3 birds to choose the highest score from.

[&o]Take me with you. I took out a 9 year old this morning for his first hunt ever. We didnt realize it until we got there but 6" of rain has the entire farm under 3-4 feet of water. Not good turkey conditions. We got close to them on higher ground, but no cigar. Cool morning for him because of all the wood ducks wizzin around.

Season wont open up for me until Saturday. T-minus 7 days and counting now!!
