Looks like this weekend we might finally have more seasonable temps. We've been getting pictures of three different 130+ bucks on a field land between a cut corn and cut bean field. They are paralleling both fields on a side hill heading back to a thicket where they bed in the morning. They don't show up everyday, but normally a few times a week between 7 and 8. Hopefully they'll show this weekend.

Well fellas, I think this might be the worst bow season for me so far. Haven't got anything on the ground yet, plus I haven't seen one buck on our big farm since season started. Been seeing smaller ones on our other properties, but nothing worth getting excited about.Last year at this time I was seeing shooter bucks almost every day I was out. I don't know if it is the heat or the EDH or that they are just not in my spots that I am hunting. Hopefully it will pick up in a couple weeks(praying) when I've got a couple days off work to hunt. Has anyone else noticed a difference in seeing deer compared to last year?

Going out tomm. morning if the weather holds. Went out Sunday and saw my 12 pt again but he did not offer a shot. Thinking I may relocate another 30 to 50 yards to ambush him in a better spot. On a side note, Just walked in the door from hanging my 15 year old sons 3rd stand. As we walked to the tree we picked out a very nice 8 pt. jumped from a thicket and walked, yes the buck simply walked away!!!! He was bedded down no more than 25 yards from were my sons stand is now at. I thought my son was going to have a heart attack) He is now begging me to stay home from school tomm. so he can hunt LoL.

Hello team, checking in from NJ. Weather is still hot here, but the front coming through now should bring colder weather. On a good note, i had the BEST hunt of my life on monday. A friend of mine who always kills monster bucks, decided he was going to take me to one of his great spots. He had been seeing a monster 10 point walking this one hedgerow every afternoon. He thought it would be a great opportunity to get my first pope and young. Well i set up in the hesgerow, on the ground, and saw 12 different bucks, 6 were spikes, one 6 point, one MASSIVE 7 point ( came to full draw on him), 4 8 pointers and the massive 10. I also came to full draw on an 8 point as well. All the deer were chasing does, it was unbelievable, deer were everywhere. Both times i came to full draw, i was about to release when my earpiece went off. My buddy and i both communitcate through walkie talkies. He was sitting on the other side of the small field we were hunting and he could see around the bend where the deer were coming from, i couldnt. Both times i came to full draw he called and told me through my earpiece not to shoot cause the monster was walking down the hedgerow. He got to about 30 yards from me and i could see him through the brush but a shot opportunity never happened. Lets hope that i get another chance, i should be back in that same hedgerow with my buddy this afternoon if the weather holds out.

Hey team, anyone having any action?

I am struggling here, and having bad luck & making dumb mistakes.
My best areas that I have been saving all year, got trampled thru this weekend by guys from the neighboring property that hit a buck and were looking for it. Never found it, & from the story I don;t believe its dead but he does. Was even planning to take his dog thru there[:'(][:@]
Even when I offerred to help him, since I know the woods the best, he refused?[&:]
All that discipline & effort out the door. [:@][:@]
Then I screwed up my hunt last evening over in Ohio. Probably cost me a goot chance at a good buck. Its too long a story to type out.

I have a feeling its just not my year. But I've got plenty of time and the effort will surely be there the rest of the way out.

Hi fellas, hunted Sat. at our 2000 acre farm and didn't see a damn deer all day in the stand. I'm going to give that farm a break until next weekend. Went to a farm up north in Stone Creek and seen a small 6pt and 5 does in the morning. Went and scouted out a ridge covered with oaks and it isusually tore up with sign every year. Thank you Lord! Finally found some great sign. Stretched out on this oak flat I counted around 25 rubs and 6 scrapes. So I set the climber up and backed out until 3:00 and went in and seen two does in the evening. I can't wait for next weekend! This week I will be hunting behind the house after work and next week I have vacation so I am super excited! Good luck team!

Ok, heading into the woods now. Do not make me shoot this pesky forker that walks by almost everytime I am in my far back stand just to put us on the points board. J/K) Come on guys we need a shooter on the boards.

Chalk another one up for Thwack Attack. Not going to score much at all but he had to be taken out of the herd.
