Guys,the temps are dropping and the bucks are starting to seek the does.I will be out tomorrow morn looking for the "ONE".
It will be my last bow hunt for a week as the rifle season kicks in on the Monday.Will be gone for a week with the gang myself so hopefully everyone has a safe week and tags out.Will be looking forward to coming back and reading the next 20 pages to get caught up--lol

day 2 of 4 of my wildland fire fighting training was kinda...dry. saftey saftey saftey. i know its important but what a boring day. stayed alert...payed attention etc. yesterday we had 2 tests and we had to pass in order to pass the first course. i passed. and as i stayed after to help the instructor clean up and close down i noticed i had the highest total on the first course and he took notes on that. hopefully between me being courteous and helping him clean up and my high scores maybe he can land me a job in the deleware water gap this summer! some call it brown nosing...but i think helping him clean up our building and load his vehicle back up is just the right thing to do and being courteous. hopefully he comes back in december for our interview session and maybe i can get on there. not THAT far of a drive for the summer. all in all its pretty interesting. i dont know that id want to make my life doing it..but itll look good on my resumes and hopefully a good summer job if i can land one.

alright guys...girlfriends on her way to visit me since i wont be home this weekend! better clean up my room a little bit. i must say for living alone in a dorm room i keep it pretty clean for being a guy.

rob...make sure you scream REALLY loud when q2 is drawing back. hopefully it scares him so bad he bumps his release and scares the crap out of everything within a mile!! maybe fire crackers or something is in order...gotta make sure to send them deer running for the hills good luck with him though seriously. maybe that big ole pig will step out.....and he will MISS! lol

rob...only worries i got is what tree to be in. after turkey hunting sat im REALLY indecisive about WHERE to hunt fri and sat at home. i found a spot that leads to my spot i shot my buck in that looks even better. kinda a little far away but same set of woods...but its kinda hard to access because of parking and land owners..but then again my spot STILL might be good..almost certain hes alive...and he spends time in the area and so does a couple does. then again we seen 2 shooters in another section of woods and ALOT of does...then again..my buddys going to the mountains the last weekend..leaving his spot wide open..noone listens to me but i got a better spot near his spot i seen bucks during the rut...ahhhh decisions decisions...oh ya! what about my new spot i spent a whole day clearing shooting lanes!?! lol..i really dont think any one spot will be better then the others.....all going to be timing. i really dont know. none of them are big sets of woods. mostly fingers of woods..wish they were big. well..the spot my buddy wont be hunting is a decint set of woods..i dont know..ill figure it out when im home!! monday im going to hunt here in the same spot till 8am or so..then im going to sneak down and head over the ridge..found GOOD sign down below just cant setup there in the dark. then wed ill hunt there after i find the spot i want to be in. cant wait to get back in the woods.

wait....ill be in the woods tomarrow...digging fire line....too bad we couldnt start a fire i dont think anyone would be all too happy about that lol.

Well guys with Team 17 adding another buck and Team 12 pulling into second I was successful at putting Kurt (Q2INWHITETAILS) on team 12 on a buck. Yesterday as some of you saw, he missed...lol on film and I couldn't stop giggling, I'd see him look over at his arrow in the ground and I start giggling, thing is, he couldn't stop laughing either.

This morning we were in the tree real early over looking my food plot. Beautiful crisp morning. We saw a couple doe/fawns at the other end of course at the Pin Oak stand.....I then saw a buck walk through, AT the Pin Oak stand, so much for me guessing stands again..lol

I called, he went in the woods but moments later out of no where the buck walked the walk to the food plot, I was filming, ranging etc...Kurt hadn't taken a buck in years and decided to end that streak right now and then. 15 yards, spined him, follow up shot expired him....we again, couldn't stop giggling.

Germ my hoyt does know how to shoot from trees, with a hoyt you dont have to track them. lol. It just hasnt fiqured out how to add more points.

You know this monkey was getting pretty heavy on my back so Rob told me we had to knock it off. We saw him like he said at the other end of the field and I committed to taking him and the rest is history. Good friends are hard to find but my buddy was there as a friend, guide, and fellow hunter and was able to enjoy it with me and it was very much appreciated. Thank you my friend..... Awsome day in the deer woods..

By the way TEAM 12 Just moved past you and we are not looking back..

Saw 7 buck and 3 does this morning. I had a nice 8 around me all morning. He was guarding a doe and was doing the buck "roar". He was about 125 inches I'd guess. The others were smaller. I think all the loud aggressive grunting he was doing brought in the other bucks. I may go buy one of the new buck roar calls. It seemed to get them fired up.

Two of the buck even smelled the bottom of my ladder stand. Most of the deer that came in were down wind of me and I'm surprised they didn't get my scent. I did wash myself andmy clothsin unscented soap just before going so maybe that helped. Things are definitely about to explode!

Rob and Q2...congrats again. i think i need to stand up as captain and throw the flag....it was CLEARLY stated in the story Q2 gave that ROB was the guide. i think that bucks points are supposed to goto team 36.... lol just teasin guys. congrats on a nice buck!!
