hmmm what to do about these guys not following the rules.....are we SURE they dont have other pics?? i mean...i dont care if its a doe i have alot more then 1 pic of it...and ALWAYS get the gun in the pic even if its at home in the yard.....im sure you checked with them and i gota make my decision?? i know what itll be i guess.....just wanna make sure first

we ALL think alike. i been thumbing through taxidermist catalogs all fall and said WHEN i get a buck to mount or a half decint first bow kill buck i was going with something diffrent...nothing against the normal upright or turned posses..i just like to have something diffrent you dont see every day. i always liked the sneak..nearly every buck ive seen had its head to the ground. i swear they try to HIDE the fact they have antlers. the sneak pose always caught my eye..still dont know what ill go with when the time comes..but i do like the sneak..

rob..good to hear you decided to mount him. didnt wanna hear you kicking yourself because you DIDNT. thats why i think my first bow buck is going on the wall. i know if i dont have the cash dad will chip in...hes very proud of me and my hunting. since i turned 16 we havent been hunting together. i think once or twice when i WAS 16..going on 20 in march i worked and went to HS..he works 2 jobs becuase he likes it and HATES sitting around..really dont need money..all he does is buys toys with it lol. but whatever..he will slow down one day. now im in college AND working..so our schedules REALLY dont match..lucky to SEE him on weekends. but hes always proud of me.

I'm seeing Chuck tomorrow...I'll let him know. I know it's a small world. No matter where you go, someone will know someone who knows you, or something like that.

Not being too phiosophical, Mauser.....but being a man of over 40 years (42, Monday, thank you).......I'm gonna tell you something you'll look back and hopefully remember, one day.

Of all the things a man could ask for in life.......a couple of them would be.....Knowing and saying he's proud of his dad.....and knowing and hearing his dad is proud of him.

You, my friend, are blessed.

Jeff

oh i know it jeff. i know it. i grew up with so many friends whose parents split at one time or another. it really tears the kids and family up. ive watched it. if/when i move outa this place and go chase my dreams the first thing im doing when im on my feet are sending my dad a plane ticket. i always tease him and tell him its gunna be one way! lol the next thing is sending my farmer friend a ticket as well that im always talking about. hes another hero of my life. hes the only person i know that makes a living by farming. milk cows to be exzact. talk about rough..up with the sun milking. cleaning barns all day..back to milk the second time. tending fields all year long. cutting hay all summer and picking corn all fall. and he raised a house full of daughters! the guys loves me and treats me like a son. since i turned 16 i been getting alot of my hunting guidance from him. he only rifle hunts...but he sees alot of game. he tells me where the deer and turkeys are. puts me on the biggest bucks. hes been good to me. when rifle seasons here he could care less about getting anyone else a buck. its all about me and his daughters even when we hunt with 15+guys some days. i get the best spots to sit. heck...i run the shooters now and pick and choose who goes where. i always end up with the best spots to sit and shortest walks lol...but im a very lucky kid...dad is definently proud of me...in hunting..in life..and in school. he might not know what that "deans list stuff" is i got in the mail..but knows its important and im not getting arrested lol. he knows i got a head on my shoulders and got my goals. cant wait to get home next weekend and show him and frame my fire fighting training certificate. and im definently proud of him. he dont have to work 2 jobs...but he does it. it makes my life just a little easier in times of need. like when i rolled my truck and ole dad bought me a windshield for my birthday. what kinda dad wouldnt hit the roof when their 17yr old son rolls his truck driving in an ole drive in looking for deer?? he said something about its partialy his fault for raising me the way he did and loving to hunt lol. told me stuff happens and thats just part of it. i wasnt doing anything WRONG. wasnt driving like an idiot..just hit a snow covered pile of concrete[:@]...definently got a good life...

now to get me a buck next week so i can give him the taxidermist bill

Germ, Chuck actually mentioned to me about his boss and you being friends...lol we had a good laugh and I got on his arse about getting your Enigma out.

Jeff, yours was shipped as you know.

Mauser, hell son, I'm proud of you, you have a good head on your shoulders and like Jeff said, you get it.

Team, keep the faith. It's early.

thanx guys...like i said before..i just see to many people around me that are nothing..never wanted to be nothing...and now wish they were something or DIDNT mess up somewhere along the line. i got my goals and dreams..im not much of a follower or chaser..im a go get er!

day 1 of 4 of wildland fire fighting training went pretty well. sitting in a class for 8hrs a day for 4 days is a killer..but itll be worth it. i guess 1 day we are doing some outside work. thatll be pretty neat. at the end of it all ill be a certified wildland firefighter. this summer....hopefully im on a fire line. never thought id be a firefighter of ANY type..but its pretty interesting. i dont know that id make a career out of firefighting. but if i can land me a summer job itll be good expirience, better money, and look good on the resume....its a step in the door.

back in the woods monday. cant wait. calling for a 40% chance of 1-2 inches of white stuff tonight! if we get it im REALLY going to wish i was hunting tomarrow..

Okay, I'm back in the woods tomorrow but only as a camera man. I'm guiding and filming Q2INWHITETAILS from team 12...they should be in the lead once Woodline Bucks enters his monster....I'm pretty positive we'll have one in range for Q2...I told them I'm screaming when he comes to full draw, they don't believe me....Hah!....[8D]
