holy cow KY! thats a beautiful buck. too bad the owner didnt find it. im sure its at a good home now though!!
funny how laws differ. i would probably be fined for removing the head here in PA. i know road kill its 10$ a point to keep a rack. im prettty sure anything in the woods must be left unless tagged. and they just made SHED HUNTING legal not long ago!! too bad you didnt get an arrow in him!

Man those are some strange laws. I don't seeing me paying 160 dollars to take that rack home. I don't see why they would rather squirrels eat them than someone keeping it. I know they think its going to keep poaching down but a poacher will not turn them in anyway.

KY...yep i know. their theory is something about poaching..someone can shoot a deer at night and go "squirrel hunting" or bowhunting or walking in the woods or whatever and "find" the buck etc. but your right...it doesnt stop poachers..but i guess if they see someone walking out of the woods with a deer head or rack and no tag/body they can/do assume its been poached..i guess it catches poachers in that sense..but how many guys like you get caught taking a deer head they found?? we definently have some wierd laws here in PA

Hope life is treating you good. I suppose you are busy with the kid's hockey season or soon will be. It must be getting cold enough up there for a bit of frost bite. Yourkind of weather for hitting it hard. Best of luck with your hunting. Let's see one of those Ontario monsters soon!!

TJF---thanks bud--life is good.Working shifts is a bummer though.Hunter started his hockey and is in full swing of it now,I dont mind though, have lots of time to be in the field as well as the wife understands my needs--lol
Was looking forward to going out tonight for an evening hunt, got home and the wife called when I walked in the door, said to pick up my daughter and take her to her dentist appointment, ahhhhhh, not tonight.Oh well, maybe tomorrow after work.
The weather is really weird here.Seems to be raining alot, except this week. Was out on Sunday and the weather was windy, frost, snow and sleet.Have had alot of frost now and the morning digits are in the 1-2 c and going as low as -4c on the Saturday.
Your right bud, love hunting in the cold, keeps you focused--lol.Now last year when it was -28c with the wind chill was a little to much to bear, lasted 2 hours in the wind and ran back to the truck---lmao
Good luck on the hunt man and hopefully you will connect on a beauty like you did last year,im cheering for ya bud.
With my luck going the past few years on the Ontario Monsters, well,we will see.Hopefully I can get this monkey off my back.
Say hello to Tyler for me,and tell him I want to see him out do dad this year--lol
WOW Ky,awesome buck, hopefully you will connect on one like that this year.
Good luck to the rest of the team
