five and a half and I started on .22 still my fav rifle for a mulitasker

at 5 my dad started me shooting a .22. we had a bench, and he would hold it, and i would pull the trigger. by the time i was 8, i was shootin shotguns, at 11, deer calibers. it just depends on how you want to start them out.
