WHOA! Ever heard of punctuation?
One of my best friends has a hat that has the Confederate Flag on it, and it has CSA 1860-1865 or somethin like that. and no one here says anything about it. One of my other friends has a Lynyrd Skynyrd shirt thats has a Confederate Flag on the front, and they say nothing about it.

Once you're on school property your First Ammendment rights go straight down the toilet , their rules are backed up by the full authority of the state and they will almost always win . Since you had enough respect to cover them up before entering school grounds I really don't see what the problem is , but apparently they don't agree . I'd tell them that since I covered them they are no longer visible , and therefore no longer offensive . If they pushed it any farther I'd seriously reconsider vo-tech as a curriculum choice . There are other classes you could ake , and the vo-tech school would lose money if you left .

I have to cover the plate and sticker up everyday before i get on school property bc she stands out in the parking lot and checks my truck as soon as i get there. but at least i didnt have to take them off bc i wouldnt have i just wouldnt have gone back up there she must have realized i could get her fired for trying to change the rules to what she wanted them to be instead of how they were stated in the rule book. so basically i won but the last day up there she is going to freak out when she sees me show up with every confederate flag thing i own on and on my truck it will be nice revenge.

The south lost, get over it and stop trying to be "cool" by being a rebel...its stupid. And besides, this is a hunting forum, not school

While I agree, to an extent, shut up. That has nothing to do with this thread, nor does it help in any conceivable way.

You obviously aren't from the South, and don't need to judge the ones that are, because here it isn't a matter of being a rebel-it's a matter of heritage. You seem to be the only one with a problem-seems to me that your the one that needs to "get over it".
Plus, you haven't made a comment on any other thread that wasn't hunting related on how bad it was to do so....take a chill pill please.

If I were black, I could easily see it as offending. Every time I see a big ol' confederate flag on the back of a pick-up I always think of a "******(black) hatin' red neck" I don't necessarly think that is the message trying to be sent, but it is the impression some people get. I can't understand why anyone would be "ok" with giving that kind of a message.

To me it isn't so much offensive because they're rednecks, but more so because I find it Un-American. It's like I said before, how can someone who considers themselves and American citizen show off a clearly Un-American symbol? The south seceeded from the Union, therefor seceeding from the United States of America, wanting to become their own nation. Their flag, the 'rebel' flag to me stands for everything Un-American. I dislike it, but if it's something you beleive in, I won't try to stop you from showing it off.

I can see how it can offend some people because they take it the wrong way. I dont display it because i'm from the south i live in western PA and always have i display it for the reason that i like it and to me stands for being a redneck which i definetly am i have a giant decal on the back window of my truck that says redneck. I understood why she wanted me to not display it but it started pissing me off when she tryed to tell me i couldnt just cover it while i was on school property she started making her own rules up and that just aint right thats why shes gunna be regreting knowing me on the last day up there

If you want the flag, fine. If you can identify with it, great. It's just that in general, most people (that aren't rednecks mostly) find it somewhat - to very offending. Personally I wouldn't want anything to do with that, but that's why I choose not to have a confederate flag. The beauty of freedom in America.
I'm not trying to pick on you in any way at all, just so you know that.
