i'm from a farm town in northeastern CT, mostly farm kids, but we have to deal with the hippie intelectuals who move up here from NYC too... our school has gotten so politicaly correct, we are not allowed wear confederate flag belt buckles, we are not allowed to have any confederate and in some cases even pro-american apparell... we get suspended in school for whistling dixie, not allowed to have rebel bumper stickers, or anything at all that could offend the whole 3 minorities in my school. meanwhile the school and all these "diverse," "non-judgemental" teachers are shoving left wing propaganda and minority rights down our throats. these people dont really care about anything they spout off about, my honors law teacher doesnt even teach a class anymore since its his last year and he can do anything he wants, he just makes us watch michael moore "documentaries" and HBO films about how ignorant the south is and how it is so wrong for our country to be defending itself from muslim extremists. the saddest part is, kids in public schools these days are so programed to believe whatever they are told that they suck everything these people tell them up and shoot them out again with absolutely no factual basis... fight these people, dont let them beat down your heretige, even if you are racist, dont let them look down on you for it, because everybody is a little prejudice, and anyone who claims not to be is a fool.

The fact of the matter is, the south LOST THE WAR, GET OVER IT! There is no room in today's world for racism and all that. We are supposed to be the UNITED States of America, right? Can't be but so united when a bunch of rednecks can't seem to see people for what they are, not what color they are, and quit living in the past.

Dragonslayer, get a life! Wearing the flag is just to show your southern AND PROUD OF IT! Its not about RACISM, its a bout pride in the south. The reason that schools hate it so much is because blacks are sayin people that are proud to be Southern/American wearin the flag are racist, and the fact of the matter is is that when the blacks are callin Whites racist, they are being racist, so dragonslayer, really the flag isnt about who won or lost the war, its about american PRIDE. Its because white ppl dont talk jive. [:-] I have several black players on my AAU bball team and they act different to the rest of the team (white ppl). They call me a dumb cracka when I have an off game and I call them jive ass turkey mother fu*%#@s when they mess up. Yes I occasionally speak jive even though Im a tall white kid from Northern MI. I have adapted to my black team mates and they have adapted to me.
