I had one of those. punched the side of a barn. They were suppose to put my hand in a cast but i didn't need one if i didn't want one. Long story short, after a few weeks, my hand was good as new. didn't know you needed surgey. well good luck and hope everything will be ok.

RE: I regret to inform you...
Uggh so i went to the Orthopedic surgeon friday, got a chance to look at my X-Ray, i broke my hand diagonally and it went all the way through the bone, not just a small fracture. Doc said if the bone slides any more i'm going to need surgery. He said i did a pretty darn good job on the break. I could see where the bone had shifted in the x-ray as there was a piece of bone jutting out from the rest. He said if it doesn't shift it'll be 6-8 weeks, if i need surgery it could be 10-12 or longer. I'm not out of the woods yet, i still got 2 weeks 2 worry about it, i go back for x-rays friday so i'll update yall. Thanks for all the kind wishes guys and gals, i sure do appreciate them
