The spacing really depends on what your wanting to do with them. First decide what your trying to accomplish by planting them..then decide long you want to take to acheive this goal, and next figure out the game plan. If you want it moreso as a windbreak/screen then spacing the oaks can be as close as 8-10 ft. But if you want good acorn drops anddevelopment ofbranches, then noless than20ft spacing would be best. There are a lot of different tactics that can be used, regardless of the goal.
