Default Too late to plant trees?

I have some trees on order, (10 white pines and 6 american sycamores) but I dont think they will get to my house until like 2 weeks from now. Will it be too late to plant them? They arent seedlings, theyre transplants that are roughly 3-5ft tall, so theyve developed a bit already. I do plan on planting them and then watering them right away and then every now and then.

Since they’re already ordered, I don’t see how you have any choice but to plant them. Though not the ideal time, if you keep them watered very regularly (not every now and then) they should do fine.

they should be fine, i just planted 11 apple trees last weekend, i usually plant this time of year and I am in northern MI. I water them once a week, my trees from last year had a 75% survival rate.

I've got about 15 saplings to put in...i've been too busy/lazy to put them in, maybe today, anyways..they are sitting bare root in a bucket of water and a couple of them are leaving out sitting on my front porch...I really need to get them in the ground...when you do plant...plenty of mulch and plenty of water don't be afraid to water...and he is right about the soil, buy some shrub fertilizer something high in potassium and phosphate to help the roots develop... that is my idea at least.

I plan on planting them in my hunting woods, just for a little land management thing.

The most important thing is every plant takes his own time to grow, what you can do at your level is you can watered them regularly and proper filizer to them.

They may be a different type than we have around here, but a sycamore is about the most useless tree in the woods. Other than a place a squirrel can sit and scratch his butt there isn't much wildlife value.

Well, they say they are GREAT turkey roosting trees once mature. They can grow very tall and wide, and are fast growing.
