didnt miss him just didnt hit him lol . Well since im supposed to tell this wonderful story about the last horrible thing that happened to me this season I guess i have to tell it and it goes like this. Me and mow em wsa huntin at my cousins uncles place in Louisa county Va and it was me him and my cousin well my cousin likes to stand hunt he hates movin around cause he makes alot of noise so he found him a tree and just stayed there I went to a stand bout 100 yds away from him and mow 'em went to another. A lil while before the sun set mow 'em or matt same person came walkin round the path and i had a light jacket on and was startin to get a lil chilly so we went back to the truck for a minute so matt could put up his gun for what reason i will never know and so i could get a warmer coat. So i told him just beacause he put his gun up were gonna see this huge buck and im not gonna be able to shoot and hes gonna be SOL.So we made our way back into the woods and started still huntin just walkin very very slowly and bout 20 minutes of that we get on one side of a cut over with a small hill on the other side of the path i look up the hill and low and behole its the biggest buck ive ever seen bedded down starin at us i wasnt sure if it was a deer or not cause it didnt move and we were bout 35-40 yds away so i shouldered my gun took the safty off put the bead right between his eyes and pulled thee trigge bam! after the shot i immediatly realize that my gun is jammed and this deer is getting up and starting to run away so i finnaly get the shell out and a new one in and hes gone. when we found the shell to see why it jammed up it looked like someone had takein a knive and made a slit down the side of it and then stomped on it so a 3 inch shell was bout and inch and a half long so that was a little weird. By then we said screw it its gettin dark and well look for him tomorrow plus my cousin had shot a big doe that we had to get out so we went and helped him. Later that night i took my gun apart and looked at it to see why it had jammed. took it completly apart and cleaned it and everything and couldnt find a problem.( i had cleaned it the night before the hunt also) so i start putting the gun back together and just happen to look down the barrel cause i knew that wasnt it and i couldnt see through the barrrel so i took out my coke and the wad from the shell was stuck in my choke tube and the shell was messed up when it came out the gun and we never found any hair blood or any other sign of the buck i had shot at. So i was a little [:@] off to say the least and the only thing we can figure is that it was a defective shell because i had no deer the case was messed up and the wad was stuck in the choke and a standing still shot with a shtgun at 35 yds with a shotgun is almost impossible to just miss. but we knew there was no way i "missed him" i just didnt hit him or somethin. It was a winchester super x 1buck shell anybody else had problems with there ammo like this?? oh and all of this happend day before the last day and ive got no meat in the freezer.

I had a similar thing happen to me years ago. I had a 7 point broadside about 25 yards away, pulled the trigger and it sounded sort of like a beer and pork rind fart when it went off. The buckshot hit about ten yards away on the ground and all the waddin was in the barrel.
