Default defective crossbows...fyi

i have a Legend SL hoton crossbow. if you have one listen up. there are bolts threw the limbs where they split for the wheels. both sides of mine are cracked at the bolts. i also know 2 othere people with bows simialr to mine and they checked and they have cracks also. i called horton and the engineer wanted to bow just as i have it set up. he told me no charge to replace cracked parts but that they need the limbs to see what is causing the problem, so i take it that this isnt the first time they have seen it and they know it is a problem. just thought i would let those of you who have a horton to check your equipment out. i would hate to see what it would do if one of these things came apart on someone when they weren't expecting it. could do some serious damage to someone.

I bought my Excalibur 15 years ago. The rest of the field still hasn't caught up to them. Simple, powerfull, accurate, and reliable.

I would be interested in trying an excalibur sometime but I also have a Horton and I have to say their customer service was great when I had a power tip break this year. They asked if normal mail would be fast enough since they are atune to a hunter's concerns. I still had 20 days till the season started so I said normal was fine. They would have overnighted it to me otherwise....and the best part. NO CHARGE. a true lifetime guarantee.
