Two weeks ago during 1st shotgun season in Illinois I shot two Sunday morning. I was still hunting into a strong wind. Got within 40 yards of them. Shot the first one and the other one immediately bedded down. Well then the first one got back up so I shot it again then it dropped for good. Then the second one got back up and I shot her. First time I've ever had that happen. Most of the time when I shoot at one the other ones take off.

title. I wonder if the wind might have confused them. It does so with horses and some other animals. I shot one doe this year out of a bunch of eight to ten deer. They stood around about 100 yards away the whole time I field dressed the first one. It was windy that day too.

I think in my case the deer were confused at where the shooting was coming from, because there was hunting pressure on both sides of the river. But i dont know for sure

no, but I've got one for ya.

One of my friends was out in muzzel loader season with his Knight. A group of doe's came out. He gave the closesest a lung shot. The powerbelt then proceded out the other side and entered a second does neck stopping in the spine. Tagged both, and called it a day.

I know of this guy Richie, who once was hunting and he was walking back to his truck when he came upon a buck. He shot at the buck but didn't immediately see the doe behind it. Well wouldn't you know it, the bullet went right through the buck and hit the doe as well. 2 down with one bulet.
