Don' t think so,Coon hunted in Virginia, and next day got a buck in the same area.
I beleive the deer avoid the coon hunters, who move pretty quick thru an area, but I don' t believe they drive out the deer. That has been my experience.

I have had that problem before and never had much luck the day after, but most of the coon-hunters around here has a better deer dog than they do coon dog.

I COON HUNT HERE IN TENNESSEE.IT DOES NOT AFFECT THEM.I SEE DEER EATING WHILE MY DOGS ARE TREED 75YARDS AWAY.DEER WILL BE BEDDED DOWN AND MY DOGS WILL BE WALKING AROUND AND THEY JUST STAY THERE.I CAN KILL DEER EVERYTIME I GO COON HUNTING THEY JUST SIT THERE LOOKING AND EATING.IF A DOG GETS AFTER A DEER,AND RUNS IT OUT OF THAT AREA IT WILL COME BACK, SEEN IT HAPPEN BEFORE.
GO DEEP HUNT HARD.

Coon hunters usually have well trained dogs. It is an embarrasment to a coon hunter to have someone go along with them and their dog takes off after a deer. If that happens too often, there will be a coon dog for sale; (Or worse.)
