Haha today is a great day. I got 2 boxes ofLellier & Bellot 12 guage buckshot, and 2 surefire handguards for 100.. and also, my dad handed his older AR-15 down to me. This is great. Lol
Thanks for the scope help, anybody know anything about the Thompson Center Venture? I can get one for 360 which is 100 less than the savage.

the savage will out shoot most everything in its price range and it has a great trigger,i'd go the 270win. 140grn bullets will kill anything you ever see. as for scopes ,you don't need to spend a fortune on one. buy what you can afford. i'd get atleast a 3x9x40 or maybe a 4x12. any brand 150.00 and up . get the 270 and load it down to 100grn bullets this summer and get good with it before deer season ,shooting varmints.

Thats what i plan on doing, coyote hunting with it. get good with it..
