Default Two new hunters needing advice

My little brother and I are just getting into hunting this year in Oklahoma. We have both always had a huge interest but just never really had the time or place to get started. We finished our saftey course and a friend of mine is letting us hunt his land this year. He said that the deer are not that big but for our first thats not really what were in it for. We have spend a couple hours scouting and I have known this land for a few years. There are tracks andscateverywhere. Today we moved our blind to a different spot that we think will be better. It is positioned about 15 feet from a really worn 4 wheeler trail which has 2 other worn trailsthat meet right into it. There are tracks all though the trails which makes us think that its a pretty good spot. We have a buck lick a few feet from the trail and about 20 yards from our ground blind. Also a little ways down one of the trails we but some buck jam on an old stump. Is this what we want to do? We also set up our feild camera where it looks like the deer are bedding. There are quite a few deer trails that are meeting in this one area. Pretty much Im just asking for any advice for an extremely unexperienced but eager deer hunters. Thanks!

Welcome to the site! You'll definitely pick up some good tips here. I know I have. You're trail cam will probably be a valuable asset. It will let you know if there are deer in the area and what time they're coming and going. Also, if it's possible, leave your blind in one spot for a while. Or set up several blinds in different areas. If you move the blind to a different spot with you, sometimes the deer will notice that it wasn't there before and it'll spook them. If you leave it there for a while, they'll get use to it.
