Well my dad bought the double stand from Walmart and then another section and it wa sa pain in the butt to put up, so i had a 16 foot big game ladder and i put that up, then i put a foot peg on each side of the tree and i tied a rope to the railing of the stand and put the ropes over the foot pegs, then on the other side i used my fourwheeler and tied the ropes to the rack, and gaver till it got up. then we went on from there! worked very nice cuz the stand was nice and tight against the tree so it never moved much! hope this helps you guys..

I cut a large V notch in the back of the stand to give it more stability. Still when I'm attaching it to a tree I usually have someone holing it at the base!

When I put my big Partner-plus 2-man ladder stand up I got a friend from work to come along with me and we both raised it up and lean it up against a tree and he held it in place while I climbed up behind it with a light weight aluminum ladder and I ratcheted it onto the tree.

When I put up my smaller 15 foot Big Dog "Fox Hound" 1-man tree stand me and my Daughter carried it way down in the woods in 3 pieces, put it together next to the tree I was using then I leaned it up into the tree and attached the middle adjustable brace bar to the ladder and then racheted it to the tree, took 2 of the small ropes and tied it around the tree and ladder to secure it a little moreand I carefully climbed up the stand and swung the top ratchet around the tree and ratcheted it to the top part of the tree,I also used an extra ratchet strap on the top part of the stand to stabelize it better.

Dang...I guess Im just doing it the hard way! I carry mine by myself, usually with the 3 extensions already put together with pins (16 ft.), lean it against the tree, climb up it (carefully) and strap the top. Then once the top is strapped I sit down and enjoy the view before climbing down and strapping the support to the ladder.

Usually takes me a whole 10 minutes. I guess the 2 man stand is a bit heavier, and may need another person to lift to tree. It probably would be more difficult if I was putting the strap around a 3 ft diameter redwood tree, but the ratchet end is usually heavy enough to swing it around. Watch out though and dont let it hit you in the eye!

My climber weighs a whole 20 pounds and straps on my back. I guess that is why it is my favorite. Its portable and easy to climb...to whatever height I may want to hunt! It wont work in all trees, but I hunt in hardwoods and poplars are very abundant. Nice straight trees with 20-30 ft of tree before the branches start.

Best of luck...and think positive! You can do it!
