Default RE: Attaching a ladderstand to a tree?

When I put my big Partner-plus 2-man ladder stand up I got a friend from work to come along with me and we both raised it up and lean it up against a tree and he held it in place while I climbed up behind it with a light weight aluminum ladder and I ratcheted it onto the tree.

When I put up my smaller 15 foot Big Dog "Fox Hound" 1-man tree stand me and my Daughter carried it way down in the woods in 3 pieces, put it together next to the tree I was using then I leaned it up into the tree and attached the middle adjustable brace bar to the ladder and then racheted it to the tree, took 2 of the small ropes and tied it around the tree and ladder to secure it a little moreand I carefully climbed up the stand and swung the top ratchet around the tree and ratcheted it to the top part of the tree,I also used an extra ratchet strap on the top part of the stand to stabelize it better.
