Grunting Vs. Rattling

RE: Grunting Vs. Rattling
I use grunting, rattling has never been effective for me or any of my guys in our camp, rattling seems to work better when the buck to doe ratio is more even, here in michigan there are way more does than bucks, so I guess the bucks dont get as excited about seeing potential bucks fighting....
as far as grunting though, I use a doe bleat (can call) and a buck grunt, have called in a few nice bucks with them

I've had very good luck with Grunting and Rattling together.I've found if their going to come to it,it will almost be immediate and you better be ready to shoot because I've found they stay just long enough to get a fast shot.
Best all around call is the Can Doe Bleat.

Depends on where you hunt and the buck to doe ratio. I hunt alot! I have tried rattling alot! It has never worked for me. I have called bucks in with a grunt call several times. But rattling here in Minnesota has never worked for me. Grunt is mandatory and a bleat can won't hurt either.
