Default BUCK GROWL

I was using the M.A.D. buck growl the other day and I actually had a buck GRUNT back. It for sure wasn't a growl but it was a grunt. It sounded like an immature buck but it got dark before it came out!

I dont understand.. people have been hunting for hundreds of years and just 2 years ago it was discovered? Someone somewhere must have heard it before then. It seems to work pretty good, althought i have never heard one in person i looked the video up on google and may be interested..is it very complex to learn or is it just a couple blows. any info would be great thanks

The deepest grunt I have ever heard in the woods came from a doe, so just because you heard a grunt doesnt mean it was a buck.

I guess it could have been a doe, but abuck came out after dark but I couldn't tell what it was. The growl is very easy to use and it comes with a video that teaches you. I am not very confident in the growl part of the call yetbut you actually start at like a deep grunt that turns into a growl. I think the grunt part sounds ok. The M.A.D. growl was only like $13.00 but I think the primos version is a lot higher.

I have alot of luck with the snort wheeze, but I use my mouth to immitate the sound instead of paying for a call.

The primos version has the snort/wheeze on it but I just can't see spending like 30 dollars for any call. When do you usually do the snort wheeze
