I've heard bucks in all stages of the rut and have never heard the "buck bawl" either. I'm not shelling out for a MAD...hell you can make that call with any call I already own.

ROB...honestly it does sound about like any other grunt call if you just blow it a little harder than you need to.

I have actually heard the "buck growl" in the wild on 2 separate occasions. Both times I heard it though, it came from what had to be THE dominant buck. I was actually hunting the bucks that made the sound, but I could never get a shot....even when it came to rifle season I thought I would get my chance, but they both fell off the planet.
I always kind of thought it sounded like a sheep if you ask me, but when I saw the ad for it on TV, it was the same sound I heard. Keep us posted on how it works for you because when I saw these 2 bucks do it, the rest of the deer out in the field scattered except for the doe they were chasing.

The Drurys did not get to where they are by sitting back and waiting for someone else to come up with a new idea. Thats what makes them stand out. They are marketing geniuses. I will not buy one but a lot of people will.
