Default Gun Cleaning ??? and smell

Hey guys and gals,
What do ya'll use to clean your firearms that doesn't smell so bad every deer in the woods will know where you are? Maybe a dumb question but everything I have stinks to high heaven. I mainly bow hunt and don't have this problem.

If they smell you're gun, they'll be smelling you too! I wouldn't worry about it!

I agree with Lone Wolf. Plus you need to make sure that you have a fully functional gun in order to make the proper shot.

The products used for cleaning the barrel do smell strong but once you’re finished, it should just be a light coat of oil applied to protect your firearm and that oil doesn’t smell that bad...

There are supposedly "scentless" gun cleaning products on the market , if you see them at the store do a smell check . If you can smell it so can a deer .

2footroper..spray your gun/bow down lightly with a scentkiller..blot with paper towel..then use a blow dryer..warm setting.. spray your hands with scent killer before you pick up your kill weapon to enter the woods

Thanks for all the info. I may be a little too concerned with this. I mostly bow hunt and scent control is a major issue. The scent killer is probably the best idea but I think I would wipe the gun down with some kind of silicone spray first to avoid any rust problems. Good luck everyone and be careful.
