Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default I can smell it!!!

Boys, I feel like a bear coming out of hibernation. I know it's jumping the gun to early - but I can hear the bird in my dreams!! Somebody stop em - I just get so excited about TURKEY SEASON - That's with a capital T and S baby - bring em on - The old Bird Dog has been at rest so long. I need to hear some hunting stories - Good, bad, I don't care - Turkey Season just around the corner - So talk it up boys!!!!!!

Calm down there BIRD DOG!!!! You've still got 3 months of waiting. It is going to drive you nuts if you stay like that. Go get naked with your wife or do some athletic activity to release all that energy you've got built up.

Another suggestion might be cleaning your shotgun and tuning your box call. Pull out your camo. Is it faded? Does it need to be replaced? Practice your calling. Go out and practice your shot placement. Pattern your shotgun. And finally, the new products are coming out....any new toys you might want for this season?

It has started with me too. I promissed to waite until after the first of the year but now that it has come I have broken out some videos, started listening to some of my calling tapes and drive around in my truck clucking, yelping an cackling like some mad man (I hope the people who pull up beside me don't turn me in as rabid or something because I look like I am faoming at the mouth). I just hop that I can occupy myself with this long enough to get to March when I can start scouting, sighting in my gun and doing some outdoor stuff. By then it will be April and time to really get worked up.

I start getting excited right after the first of the year. That also is when TNN starts the new season of "Turkey Call".
Come on April 15th!!!

I know how you feel. I'd just about rather Turkey hunt than Deer hunt. The best thing I can tell you is to pull out the videos or start watching all the outdoor channels and get pumped about it. Everyone has to have something they can enjoy away from the everyday rigors of life. I look forward to hearing the Gobble of the infamous longbeard. It has a way of drawing me to the woods.
