I hate to put down a seemingly good organization, but QDMA is like DU, NRA, Rocky Mountain Elk, etc.in that they are all about the money. All their concepts are great, but seeminglyevery time my phone rings, one of the above organizations has their "hand" out for a "donation" for one issue or another. A new QDMA chapter was just formed in my area, and I have learned ALOT about how they really operate. I am not impressed.

YANKEEPRIDE

I noted that this was a particularly fine specimen with an exceptionally shiny coat. His muscle tone was spectacular, with good bulge and mighty strength.Antler growth was ahead of the curve, and his hoofs looked healthy with no sign of ingrown toenails or plantar warts. He was otherwise free of warbles, mites and other harmful saprophytes. I did remove a tick from his ear. He had no cavities.
LOL...ingrown toenails?

as someone mentioned awhile ago...'partaking of the herb?'

This is exactly why I moved from Wisconsin to South Carolina 15 years ago. I wanted to get there ahead of the southern migration of the whitetail.

I am so glad, now, that i did what with all the cwd, warts, and tumorous growths so prevelent in the northern states. This southern whitetail hunting is GREAT.Huge deer, great weather, and no mosquitos, bugs or warts.

I new it was coming.I called it.

I just wish that TDWW had kept it a secret. I will have to start sharing this great southern forest with the influx of yankee hunters, craving to hunt these migrating deer.

I have been a member of QDMA for about 5 years and have never been solicited for a donation. The membership which includes excellent deer information magazines is abargain IMHO. I'vehelped arrange two seminars in the Troy, Al area a couple of years ago that were very enjoyable for all that attended.

Timber
I agree that the magazine is great, but I have a problem with giving a national goup 75% of the money raised locally. I have gotten a call from QDMA. I may change my opinion about them after our local chapter really gets off the ground (our chapter only started in Dec 2005), but right now, it seems like we are working for them.
