Default How many deer per square mile

This piece of woods I estimate has about 50-75 deer in it. It's about 1 mile by 1 mile. The deer can cross from other nearby woodlots also. Whats a good number of deer for a piece thats that size.

Default RE: How many deer per square mile

It all depends on the amount of food and cover meatgazer. Here in Georgia most places average about 30 to 45 per square mile. Across the river in South Carolina there are places with deer in the numbers you speak of. It's real high and the deer show it.
