Hey guys, not wanting to break into your name-calling fest but I thought the point of this forum was to hear everybody's views on deer transportation and whether or not we thought it was right to show a deer you have harvested. Ifly, respecting a game animal and other people is not giving up your freedom to hunt, it shows that you are a courteous person not someone who decides everybody needs to see their dead deer. I don't mind seeing what people have taken butmost everybodyelse could care less!! Rebel hog has a point Red you started the name game, got everybody ticked so they decided to rail on you. Guys, go rail on a law-breaking poacher like badman. If someone wants to kill a young buck, they can, it is legal. I don't think it should be done, but not everybody is interested in QDM. Cut out the name calling guys, all it does is make people ticked off and start coming back with more names. Good hunting!

lol you "southern, all knowing hairy chested MEN" I'm surprised you guys even have Inet connections in your trailer parks!!! So let's see, it is surmised that I am a retired yank who moved too TN. I probably was born in a large metro area somewhere near the northeast? I am half anti-hunter and really just waiting to get all the laws passed that I can to prevent hunting in the future?
Well again, the "trailerness" in many of you comes gleaming through once more. First off I am only 34 while I would like to be retired, with 3 kids and a wife who enjoys a great quality of life, nope it aint happenin anytime soon. I didn't "move" too TN... NEWSFLASH I was bred born and raised in MEMPHIS, TN (Thank ya, thank ya vury mutch) and I still live in TN.
All you aforementioned "MEN" can kiss my white azz when you say "Oh but it's accepted around here". Where? Your trailer park? The road you live on out in the sticks that is named for your family because "yall" are the only ones that live on it and have for generations? It doesn't matter if you live in Memphis (over 1million+ in the metro area) or live in Frog Jump (yep there really IS a place named such in TN) riding around with dead deer in plain view is NOT accepted by the majority of the population and you can sugarcoat it, "necktifi it" or another method of labeling it you deem necessary to justify your own actions. It is accpeted by YOURSELVES because you are simply to damned lazy to cover up the animal. Or your old POS truck doesn't have a tailgate in the first place because it rusted and fell off! That or you really DO have to have some sort of twisted, hillbilly logic type of "approval" by forcing everyone else around to see that you were "MAN" enough to kill deer. Another NEWSFLASH guys, it is not hard at all to put a bullet (or even an arrow) through a 1.5 year old forkorn in case you were wondering whether your manhood was still viable.
Now go back outside and check the blocks under your house/trailer, I think they are off kilter and might be causing your lack of brainmatter from properly settling between your ears!

In case you were also wondering, I DO prefer PING golf clubs and I hit Callaway balls. Never did the tennis thing and while I occasion the country club, I would rather spend the money on something hunting or Harley related. Besides, once it's hot enough to sweat I AINT playin golf. The only reason golf exists in my opinion is so we can wear funny clothes, drive miniture cars, knock the schittz out of things and drink beer without someone calling our wives or the funny farm!!! Once it's hot enough to sweat you'll find me with my family in my bassboat. Yep that GREATEST of redneck symbols, she's over 20' of gleaming red fiberglass with a hulking black motor and capable of double ought warp speeds.
So instead of trying to personally attack me and act like I don't know what I am talking about or that I am a "yank" perhaps you should just SHUT THE HELL UP and realize that the game is up. You have been "ratted out" by one of your own. Times change and so does public perception. We can do it ourselves or have it done for us, by those not famiilar with us!

I love internet tough guys. Gotta keep the name calling on the net b/c you don`t have the balls to say it to any trailer park, redneck, yank in person. Again I give you an open invite to come to upstate NY and hunt or run your mouth , The choice is yours. God I hope you don`t raise your kids with the same name calling stereotyping mouth you got.
PS I`m man enough to kill a deer and Man enough to talk sh@t to someones face are U?
PSS I`m sry to all the good decent people on here but I`m sick and tired of RED running his mouth about people he doesn`t even know.

What I said was more in line with what you said when you posted "I don't mind seeing what people have taken but most everybody else could care less!"
Only I said I could care less what everybody else thinks about seeing my dead deer. Although to do so after I leave the check station in the woods they would have to crawl in the back of my SUV and look in the coolers.
Far as being a courteous person to anti's I said you wouldhave to stop hunting period..everything else is ass kissing and loosing ground.
Just do the right thing when it comes to hunting..if you don't know what it is..don't hunt or get with someone from the old school who has the experience to know what it is. Our hunting rights are not going to be lost in my lifetime..but they are being given away by people who are so smart as to propose making more laws against their selves and trying to appease people out of touch with reality. When it becomes against the law to hunt it will be because people made hunting look like something that should be done in secret and hid as if it was against the law already. You hide your kill and when some kid does on a rare occasion accidentally see a dead deer he will freak out. In my opinion in this case it's the ones who think they are the good guys who are throwing their hunting rights away and will have no one to blame but themselves when it's done and gone and it will be unless the ethics police get some spine and stand up for what is right and legal instead of sneaking around being extra courteous to people who hate your guts.

Ifly, I go along with the fact that in some towns it might be offensive to display your deer thru town and respect that! What I don't think is right is for anyone to have to say this: "It just urks me too no end when I see some REDNECK, backwoods, toothless, banjo pickin inbred rolling down the road in his jackedup 4x4."
There's more Rednecks and poverty in TN than any other state.
I go to N.E.TN. twice a year and would'nt trade them folk for anycity slicker. They are truly good God fearing folk and woulddo anything for you!

You are right Ifly, sorry about that.
Must have read it in one of the other 25 pages of this thread.
I could really care less what the antis think. I was just trying to say that just because you can hunt and it is legal does not mean you need to show the world(most of which does not want to see it really). I'm proud to be a hunter and will never hide that fact. Sorry again about the confusion.

Boy I tell ya, the "trailerness" continues to ooze forth from many of those on here with "wheels under their houses". At what point in "yalls" government sponsered ejumocashuns didn't you"learnt da dablam differnce atween"the Anti-hunter crowd and the NON-HUNTER crowd? Because there is a HUGE difference, but there are to many "men" in here whose knuckles are still drug to closely too the ground to understand the distinct difference between the two groups. One is smaller than we hunters the other comprises over 75% of the total population of this nation.
If it were ONLY PETAheads we wouldn't be having this conversation, but it's the 75% of NON-HUNTERS that are gonna be the ones to sway too the anti's side and take our sport away (btw hunting is NOT a right, there is nothing in any constitution about it, it is allowed. We should all act like that instead of ASSUMING that it will always be around).
One thing is for sure, this SURE HAS BEEN A BLAST!!!

Anyone who is proud to be a hunter, as I too am, should take a little pride in how we present ourselves and our sport to those around us. Like Red says it is the general population who vote that will determin what happens to not only hunting, but everything else as well. We need their help or hunting will be history.

Alot of guys around here use the hitch mounted decks.I just bought a used Jeep Cherokee.I intend to make or buy one of these to use on the Jeep when and if I decide to take it hunting.I'll be Ding Donged if my decision will be based on whether the deer is "exposed" for public view or not.
My GMC p/u curently does not have a t-gate on.I have a net.I have transported 3 deer this yr in a tastefull manner that are in clear view - "exposed".I'm not puttin the t-gate back on until I get good and ready - after the Deer season is over and I've transported 2-3 more deer.
If you use good judgement in the transport of an "exposed" animal than I say the Hell with what the tree huggin anti's say or think.I pay taxes to ride down the same roads they do. I hunt legally and feel no reason to be ashamed,or a need to hide my harvest. Life does not revolve around what all these curb jockey anti's think.
Use your head.
Legislation is NOT the answer.Education and using the brain the good lord gave you - IS.
