Depending on the buck/doe ratio, and hunting pressure, rattling can work anytime during the day. I've pulled bucks in during the middle of the day many times.

I rattled in a nice, heavy 10 pointer last fall around 11:30. Pretty close to the time that you mentioned. However, I am not exactly sure that it was the rattling that brought him in--as soon as I finished my sequence, I looked up and he came browsing on grass around the corner. He didnt run in or anything, so he might have just been naturally on his way. However, once he got to the field, he did look around like he was looking for something (what he heard??) So, I don't know what to tell you. Well, we know one thing: there is no way it will work if you dont try...Good Luck!

I haven't had luck at any time of the day with a rattle bag--don't know if it's me or what.
