That’s right James, good for us. Price of fuel wont stop me from going to Cabela’s, that’s for sure and the best thing, I can fill up with cheap gas in the states before coming back home. I end up saving both ways, for fuel and goods.

Turn about is fair play. We enjoyed many years of bargan prices on Canadian trips. Its still worth it for this year at least. However if things keep going the way they are, It may be out of my reach in the future. The fixed income is what hurts.

Well, I live about 110 miles from the nearest Walmart, and 75 miles from the nearest Sporting Goods store, which, is more expensive than Cabela's is. So I order quite a bit from Cabela's. Its a lot cheaper. I will also be buyinga few things from Walmart.com. I even by groceries here at about 25% more cost than what I can get 110 miles north, but it is cheaper in teh long run because of gas. But it won't hurt my hunting any this year. I will be going out for 9 days straight, period. I have a scouting trip for tomorrow, and will go scouting over one weekend on the first weekend I have off in September before the season starts. Thats it. Don't know that I would go over there any more even if the gas was cheaper anyway.

It will probably force me to only buy one or two bows next off season.

In all seriousness, I am unsure if it will really affect my hunting purchases. The only two thing I have yet to get on my list are new cables for my summit climber and new antimicrobial undergarments. Gas prices shouldn't affect those moderate purchases....
...though it may affect me buying a new pair of high end binos.
