"triple seven" powder-no cleaning needed????
I was at the range and this guy was using Hogdon triple seven powder and claimed that you do not need to clean your muzzleloader like you would with other powders.....Is this true, has anyone used this.....it would be a ton easier and a lot less worry not to have to clean it so perfect....

I haven't used Triple 7 but I have been using Goex Clearshot for a couple years and it is great. I shot about 6 shots and left it for 8 months to see what would happen. There was no rust and it cleaned up easy. Triple 7 is supposed to be the same but I have seen complaints of frozen breech plugs using it on other sites.

I kind of like cleaning guns...but I am a little off. I heard a couple of bad things about triple 7, similar to what Skhunter mentioned, but the cleanshot is suppose to be pretty good. I don't know that I would leave any of my guns for an extended period with out give them the old 1/2 but it would be nice to have the option to leave it.
