WalMart had Triple 7 powder for $24.95 per pound. Ouch! I only pay $4.85 per pound for 2F black powder(Chinese powder). I don't think I'll be switching anytime soon. Is 777 that expensive to manufacture?

My local WalleyWorld sell it for $19.99. Strange.

1950KID,
I live in Northern Illinois, in fact I'm just a mile from the Wisc. border. Anyway...Walley World sells it here for the same price $24.95/lb. in Ill and Wisc.
I wonder where "driftrider" lives?
I buy it from our local gun shop and it's $18.00/lb from him. I'm looking forward to the 777 in pellet form. It's been about a year now since I last talked to a Hodgdon rep and he told me the first of the year in 2003.
Keep it in the 10X

I live across the Mississippi in Iowa (Cedar Rapids). I was just at Wal-Mart today and realized that the $20 price was an end of season clearance price. Alas, the regular price is $24.95 . I'm almost positive that one of my local small gun dealers (Cedar Valley Outfitters in Marion, to be exact) has it for less than Wal-Mart's $25 price ($20 or $21 I think, but don't quote me on that).
I thought that the $20 price was the regular price because my wife picked up a lb of Triple 7 a couple weeks ago when she went to get a brick of ammo for her .22. She must have realized a good deal when she saw it and bought some (God bless her little heart !)

Cheapest price I've found is at http://www.powdervalleyinc.com/
15.95/lb but of course there is a HAZMAT.

Divide the price per pound by the number of shots and it doesn't cost very much. It is well worth the price when you start cleaning your rifle. Also you use 15% less than Black powder
