3030, yeah I misunderstood you a bit, sorry.

However I can't grasp your opinion of food source hunters? How does sitting near an Oak tree, where the deer are feeding naturally...does not suit or better your advantage? An alfler field isn't altering the deer behavior, no better a chance to hang the tag than your acorns...this field may be the only thing the deer in the area know...been there for 20 years..it is natural to them to come and eat the high fiber food source! Maybe the oak tree you are hunting is 50 years old, but guess what it ain't been their forever...it is all natural IMO! Your arguement doesn't hold much water, IMO. It is your opinion and whatever floats your boat!!!

I still stand by: I think what turned out to be a debate on hunting styles...is nothing more than a wedge.

I appologize to all hunters, I may have offended with my comments, due to my short sightness. Good luck all and be safe!

Unethical=Went today to plant food plots and put corn in my feeders.
Ethical=Set up ground blind at deer crossing near a white oak,but wait, last year we put out lime and fertilizer.Darn changed the natural habitat.Oh well I'll keep trying to get this ethical hunting down.

Hunting is not a sport,it's a lifestyle.

Where I work, there is a field of corn, winter wheat and sunflowers w/ a feeder at the edge of it. Everyday there are 8-10 deer there. If I could hunt there, it would not be much of a challenge. I could have a buck of my taking within an hour. There are oak trees not 100yds from the field, the deer are rarley there. Before the feild and feeder where there, they were always at the oak tree eating. Their feeding habits were altered by the field and feeder. Maybe that isn't how it is everywhere else...

I'm done with this topic, I'm ready to let it fade...

I have one more question for him. If you are sitting in a treestand watching a trail, and 300 yards to the north there is an agriculture field (unnatural) and 300 yards to the east there is a white oak tree (natural) and a good 8 point comes from the southwest how do you know which food source he is headed to? Would you shoot him?

Yes, I'd shoot him. There is not way to tell where he is heading.
