deer feeders??

Default deer feeders??

i was just wondering if anyone has any good ideas on homemade deer feeders or some plans to build one, i should just buy one, but i'm sure some of you guys know how the woman gets about buying hunting stuff after you spend $$$$$ on that new bow. so if anyone can help me out that would be great. (you just might save a relationship, lol)


p.s. i would like to say how great this place is, i have never seen a place that everybody is so friendly and helpfull....thanks everybody

Feeders are easy to make and about a 1/3 of the price of buying one.

Here is a pic of one of the ones I have made.
The newer ones have a boat winch to lower and raise the drum. Unfortunately I dont have a pic of those yet.



All up this one cost me about $120 to make.

If its for your property where you live you could get away with one of thoes 5 galon bucket feeders, or if you are useing it during season where you will be seeing it every few days. I have made my own and works great. I still had to buy the feeder motor but used a 30 gal. plastic barrel with strait legs. It will hold 200 lbs of corn. For the most part you can get something that will keep the corn dry and put one of thoes feeder motors on it.
