3030, are you saying it is only ethical in your mind to shoot a deer with a 3030 or the likes, due to its limited range...it makes it more sporting?

I hate to admit the feeding thing I can see, hunting food sources not at all and to determine that it is not sporting to shoot out to 300 with a 7mm...well laughable. This post gets worse by the day, at first I was presenting an agruement or opinion, then ruffled, turned to a laugh and had some fun....well now I am just plain fed up.

3030 just because you don't agree with it don't call it un-ethical, Some people might call hunting with a 3030 to be un-ethical and un-sportsman like, they could very well say that anything besides a single shot 20 ga shooting 10 year old slugs with a crooked barrel is the sporting way to take deer.

I have never killed a deer over a feeder but I would if it was legal in my state.

You could say the same about every hunting device we have that might give us a little advantage over the wildlife we pursue.

You ever shot squirrels out of a hickory nut tree?

you all mus tbe using some magical feeders if it makes it that easy because i use one and dont have no effect on my deer they dont even come to it during shooting hours,

Where did that come from? I think you guys are just making things up now. Where did I say anything about the only gun I thought to be ethical was a 30-30? You guys have a way of reading post and taking them to mean something totaly different.

I said that hunting a food plat and a feeder are about the same. I know you guys don't agre with that but where did you get the 30-30 thing from skeeter?

Yes I hunt squirrels in nut trees and deer near oak trees but those are natural food sources. I do not reshape or alter their habit and feeding patterns to suit my advantage

I think the only ethical reason to kill a deer is to eat it and the only ethical way to kill it is in the most humane and efficient way possible, within the law. Please know that is just my opinion which governs my hunting, not yours.

Feeder Bow at 20 yards, Field 7mag at 300 yards...both in your eyes equally unethical or unsportsmanlike. What would you get out of that comment?

I take it food source hunting can not be compared to perched in the woods on the highway?

Yes they are about the same in my mind. They are both artifical food sources. My comment had nothing to do with calling a 7mm unethical. If thats what you got from it.
