well i went for a my first real ride yesterday. most of it was way to easy for the rokon but put thru it's paces i was riding with 3 friends they were on quads. we rode from the old glenn hwy bridge on the knik river up to the knik glacier. made some pretty good river crossings but was actually disappointed in the bike stalling in deep water the quads went through without any problem. i just rode off to one side away from the path of the quads and did fine. the bike restarted without any real problem after pushing it in to shallower water. when we were at the glacier one of the guys fell off and got very wet and cold. never touched botton by the time we got to him he was just holding on and very scared. took two of us to drag him out. i had rain pants and two extra coats and an other guy had a wool cap. he stripped shivering and got the other clothes on and warmed up pretty quick. burned about 1.5 gallons of fuel. eyes still irritated from all the dust. got plenty of odd looks from the many quad riders out yesterday and a few thumbs up. the rokon is awesome. my butt , inner thighs and triceps are kinda sore today...pretty good work out. good training run for me.

well the horde's of suckers are almost to my hole. The grayling are doing their thing right now. The suckers are 400 yards or so below them with a few holding in the upper hole above a dam. I'd bet by this weekend with weather like today they'll over run those grayling and be in 1" of water going at it. If ya want to bowfish them I'd say this weekend would be the time.

Nim,

Suckers galore! You could do quite a bit of shooting, thats for certain! It's as I figured this year. Every year there seems to be more and more and this year is no different!!!

WELL WE GOT 2 MORE BEARS SO WE WERE 5 FOR 5 AND OF THE 2 BOATS 9 FOR 10. MY BEAR WAS AVERAGE SIZE HIDE WAS IN GREAT SHAPE. TRUELY AN 11TH HOUR BEAR, SHOT IT AT 10:45 PM. WE ALSO HAD SOW WITH 3 SMALL CUBS PROBLEMS. GOOD WEATHER AND EXCITING HUNT.
