Hi all, hope things are good fo you in Wasington, still don' t know where we will be getin stationed next, but it looks lke it might be Andrews AFB right outside of D.C. I can' t wai to get back to the states. Hope you all have a great hunting season this fall. I' ve already looked into hunting in maryland, they don' have a bear season, but they have two differn types of deer to hunt.

You' re on the wrong side of the country, but I guess you' re getting closer.
Just curious, what 2 types of deer does Maryland have? I lived and hunted NC for 3 years, and I only knew of the variety Virginia whitetails. You should be able to fly Space A back to McChord with a little luck and some planning. Hope it works out for you.

Well nothing for sure yet, will find out tomorrow where we are going. The 2 types according to there DNR website is the whitetail and the sitka. I was told this morning that my first choice on the dream sheet could be picked but they also said I could get sent anywhere in the lower 48 that needs crew chies with my afsc

They aren' t Sitka deer, they are Sika deer. They are more like tiny elk than a whitetail. Sitkas are blacktails in northern BC and southeast Alaska. It would be pretty cool to hunt for the little marsh deer though, but I' d rather be on this side of the planet. Keep us posted. Good luck.

[X(] Unfortunatly not enough to put out the fires the lightning caused that came with it! we now have 25 fires burning in the MBSNF between Skykomish and Marblemount. Was in Skykomish today on a Anti Wild Sky mission, and the wind was not favorable for getting them out either.
How go things in Whitetail country?[

One other thing . Do you know any thing about the public meetings going on regarding access in the CNF? You may want to look in to that.I believe ther' s on in Chesak(probably wrong spelling) Aug. 13.
Especially if you ever drive a truck, jeep, quad, dirt or trail bike or run a saw in the CNF.[X(]
Doo a raindance pray for RAIN!
