Robb...I was stationed at Fairchild for 6.5 years. I really enjoyed it. How cool would it be to be stationed in Spokane closer to better turkey and deer hunting?

Robb, I was a paper-pusher (70250/73250). I worked at the 92nd Avionics Maintenance Squadron and the 92nd Combat Support Group (headquarters bldg). I was stationed there in 1984 and saw the entire base go through a major facelift over those 6.5 years. The facilities are pretty nice now. I' ve often wanted to stop by and take a drive through it but I' m sure they' re allowing too many visitor passes these days because of heightened security.

Hi guys. I was wondering what any of you here in washington know of,or about the greenies proposed " wild sky" wilderness ? This is an issue that has been very quietly tried to be pushed through with as little public input as possible,by Patty Murray, Maria Cantwell,Rick Larson, and thier greenie comrades.
since it faild last year there has been time for a grassroots effort to oppose thier grand scheme-andit seems it might just be working!
June 28 2003 there was a ' support wild sky' festival in Index WA.to promote the proposal. Opposition had 1 weeks notice to respond with A counter rally while they had weeks to prepare and we (opposers) outnumbered them 2-1!
I am also a member of snowest.com and we have been discussing this issue and doing what we can to wake people up to this scam-even though NONE of us ride in this area.
Iwas born and raised in the Skykomish-Snohomish river valley, and I have driven many of these roads they propose to tear out(at YOUR expense). THis area does not even qualify under the wilderness act of 1964-and this is only the beginning-NEXT comes the I-90 corridor, then the Kettle Range,Then......Do you see where this is going? If you would like more Info.-post and let me know and i' ll tryto help out as much as I can.
Now to TRY and attach a file. (computer illiterate)
