He wouldn' t take anything from me so I figure I' ll just buy all the stuff & do all the work. He did say we were more than welcome to come over for the fall to help ease his pain. I just figured if the doves were willing to answer me, I' d talk to them. And how the hell was I suppose to know you were a champion jake herder. Trust me Bldhound, you did the right thing by not dustin' that tom on her. After last year' s experience with Paul shooting that tom while strutting in front of me(the bird not Paul), she feels much better now than had you pulled the trigger on " her" bird. You probably do too. You might have been a lonely man for the next few weeks had you tagged that bird. Hindsight being 20/20, you' d have done us all a favor by taggin him. The birds would' ve been more vocal without him around, and they would' ve all been coming in to calls looking for his women.

We' ll definitely have to do it again. Maybe we can talk about an elk or deer camp when you find out more about who' s coming out and when.
