Yeah Slee' s huntin' partner was " sweepin' up da turkey population" . Great post Slee, real accurate. I' m headed back over in a few weeks to Bob' s place to work on those gardens of his. He wouldn' t take anything from me so I figure I' ll just buy all the stuff & do all the work. He did say we were more than welcome to come over for the fall to help ease his pain. Maybe then we can get over there & really " bust some damn turkeys" ! I almost died when that ol' boy got all up in those fire ants, I haven' t laughed that hard in a long time.

NEWS FLASH............. Local turkey hunter develops new & fool proof jake call! When that ol' boss tom has beat the day lights out of the jakes & they will not say a word & you need a bird. Pull out your true fire Dove Coo Call ! Slee perfected this call during PNT.......a stroke of genius. You just sit right there & hit the Dove Coo call for 5 notes & the jakes come running. You have to keep your eyes on the jakes & not the doves. You can buy this product for only $7.95, field tested & designed by Slee himself! Just stay by the tree that you were on in the morning that you told everyone you' d be at & the jakes just magically appear. What more could you ask for on the last day of the last weekend?

Great time Slee, we' ll have to do this again.

I just figured if the doves were willing to answer me, I' d talk to them. And how the hell was I suppose to know you were a champion jake herder. That must be a Tennessee technique for when things get slow. I can see it now...Folks, when things get slow in the turkey woods and you don' t know what to do, make them jakes go right where you want them to. If you follow Bldhound' s Foolproof Jake Wrangling Techniques, you' ll be putting your tag on a juvenile tom every season....guaranteed! I' ll tell you what, you work on making an infomercial on how to perfect the technique of turkey herding and I' ll market my Dove Coo Call. Maybe next year we can actually come home with something besides sore feet and smarta$$ comments. Maybe we can perfect the proper techniques of bustin' th' hell out of a gobbler.

This is what we' ve been looking for Slee! Man we put our heads together & market this thing & we will not have to work no more, we can just hunt all the time! Let' s get in touch with the patent office so no one else can claim this one! LOL

You know it was me who was in the cuttin' contest with a real hen in the bottom & I thought it was you...........so yeah I got egg on my face on that one. That is just a testimony to your fine cuttin ability though! I was doing good untill she did her 3 note yelp that threw me off, I said self, that there is Mr Slee over there.................I was Sooooooo wrong = Ooopppsssss.

We' ll have to do it again whenever we get a chance! Great time though, Laura K is still on cloud 9...........up until I tell my side & say she couldn' t pull the trigger...........before I tell everybody about the terrain. Her comment is - you better smarten up!

Trust me Bldhound, you did the right thing by not dustin' that tom on her. After last year' s experience with Paul shooting that tom while strutting in front of me(the bird not Paul), she feels much better now than had you pulled the trigger on " her" bird. You probably do too. You might have been a lonely man for the next few weeks had you tagged that bird. Hindsight being 20/20, you' d have done us all a favor by taggin him. The birds would' ve been more vocal without him around, and they would' ve all been coming in to calls looking for his women.

We' ll definitely have to do it again. Maybe we can talk about an elk or deer camp when you find out more about who' s coming out and when. For those on here who don' t know, when you turn 2 rednecks from the South loose in the turkey woods, we have a helluva good time. We might not kill anything but time, but we' re gonna have fun.[:-]

Yeah she says it would' ve been fine if I' d shot that bird. YEAH RIGHT! Mark Chesnutt said it best " It' s to hot to fish, to hot for golf & to cold at home" .
I might' ve been looking for another hunting partner/girlfriend! It was in my best interest to let him walk away like I did.......that' s ok b/c in the fall I will have my Osage Orange to wisper sweet lil " pur-pitchdown putts" or some great " kee kee cackle clucks" or whatever combination those two were talking about! We could ask to use the " WW" but I' d let you do the shootin! What are friends for, buddy? LMAO
