RE: CO mulie guide
Not trying totoot my own horn but.... I just took two guys from Florida up to a unit about 2hrs out of Denver and both of them filled tags by the second day. First one shot a nice 4x4 buck about 180 yds that will score about 120-130 BC. The second was in a big hurry and filled his tag with a fork horn buck (he's going to taste great). I'm not a guide but it was a swap hunt. I took them up in my Jeep and set a wall tent and wood stove camp and we went around and got a couple of good buck. The second hunter could have got a 140-150 BC buck if he wanted to wait and hunt a couple of days. All this was on public land. There is great hunting in most units in Colorado but you do need to know the areas. Jovan

As Camel said, if you can do a little research and figure out the area you would like to hunt, draw a tag, you more than likely won't need a guide. The Colorado Division of Wildlife is good about providing info and stats about game taken in each unit. There are good bucks all over the state. For example 5 minutes into opening morning took a184 buck on public land near Gunnison.
