Marmot season starts in less than two weeks . I havn't seen a whole lot of these critters . I'm going to try a spot I know of - west of Ft. Collins (I saw one there ) . If you've spotted any marmots I'd love to know where . Mmmm ,I can almost taste 'em .

I have heard of a few people that eat them but have never tried hunting after them to eat them. How do you cook them? How much meat do you get out of one of them? I have seen a few up Willow Creek Pass Road I think its Hwy 125. I live in Denver and if you need a hunting partner let me know. Thanks Jovan

I read once about E. Keith went hunting and the guide took him the long way because the guide wanted to make marmot stew. Keith said it was great tasting. My grandfather used to hunt for prairie dogs for a older lady, so that she could make prairie dog pies. Grandpa said it was good. Jovan
