Default Colorado Elk

Anyone have knowledge ofgood access points for GMU 44,45,444? I have some maps but was wondering if anyone knew the better roads to get way back in that area off the highway? We plan on going south out of Eagle but haven't picked out an exact spot yet. Any help would be great.

going out of eagle is a good start. you can also head up out of glenwood going south to carbondale then head east up to basalt mnt. or even east of basalt is good but a little rougher country to hunt but some better bulls lots of private in all areas closer to town best to have good map best on to start with is the white river national forest map. hope this helps good hunting.
