goose hunting

Default goose hunting

what's the best way to goose hunt. Hiding in the weeds, Using a blind, or using a pit.[&:]

That depends on alot of things. Pits are ok but I like being mobile. If the wind switches you can't move a pit blind. Some of those highly priced blinds are nice, but with out the right cover I think they can stick out like a sore thumb. If there is natural cover that works also because the geese are already used to it, but they like to land in the middle of fields for the most part, so I try to avoid hedgerows or tree lines. What ever works for you is good!

I always have set up in the middle of the field, or location of field where birds have been feeding, and laid with the dekes concealed by burlap and some natural cover to brush myself in i.e.cornstalks, wheat stubble
this year plan on using a layout, looks and sounds a lot better.
