Another vote for the 870. I have been abusing mine for 15 years and it just keeps dropping them outta the sky. I got 3 Canada Geese with it this morning. I have had it jam a few times over the years, but usually because i have got a twig/grass/something in it when i have been abusing it.

can't beat the ole 870. i have duck and goose hunted for 15 yrs with my express combo gun 3" mag modified or full rem choke depending on pass shooting or over decoys .
parkerized oiled finish stock beat it drown it and shoot ducks/geese
i have been kicking a mag 10 around for those really leary geese big canada honkers are hard to fold at times .

I prefer Semi's for duck. With steel, you really need to whack them more than once it seems. I use a 870 as backup, and started duck hunting with an 870, but use a 1187 now. The boy's with the semi berrettas, remingtons, etc and all were really knocking the birds out of the sky. They had off 3 shots before I had the second one out.
