It looks like a good idea and it looks like it would work good.
The Cree Indians use to use the geese they got as decoys, they used sticks to prop them up. In Take'em 7 due to a miscommunication, Burnie Calef and another guy had no guide or decoys so they sat in the brush next to a pond and called the birds into range. As they shot birds they propped them up and used them for decoys for the rest of the hunt.
