South Central PA is yielding the same results. I haven't heard much at all - even on the roost. I did have one gobble about 8AM on Tuesday (one time and that was it). I'm hoping for a better day Saturday!

well tonight i went to the farm , where ive been lucky to hear ONE gobbler a few nights since the season opened , and to my surprise , at 8 pm , came a gobble , so i was content , and planned to listen until dark.
Then came out 2 more , all from different spots on the hill!!!!! this could be good , i heard 4 different birds on the junior hunt , all in the area of the farm i hunt , so maybe they took a week or so off , and are finally returning after some surrounding hunting pressure got to them , im gonna setup close , between the 2 that are nearest to one another , and see what happens . maybe they will finally heat up in SW PA

I think things are definitly going to pick up. The problem was the warm weather we had in April, before season. That got the ball rolling earlier than usual and they got henned up quick. Once their girlfriends leave them earlier to go nest, they'll be talkin more.
