Default Wisconsin Hunters success, whats working?

Hey Wisconsin Hunters, I was just wondering if anyone has had some success so far this year and if so what is working for you. I have had some great pics on my camera of a 10pt, 8pt, 6pt and i have been hearing of a big 12 point hanging around the neighboring corn field but have yet to see it. Anyway, my stand is about 30 yards from a nice scrape line where the pics have been coming from. I have been hunting mornings and evenings and have been seeing only does except for a real big spike horn and a basket 8. I have tried grunting and bleating, have not been busted in or out of stand and have not been smelled out. Why am I not seeing these bruisers? So my question is, what should I be doing? Also, with this warm weather lately, does anyone think the rut will be affected?I hope you all are having a fabulous hunting season so far.

I talk with ALOT of guys who hunt all over our state and most of them have said the rut is still a little ways off. I do have cam photos of 2 deer up near Winter, WI that have really thick bulging necks and that tells you it's close. I've seen reports out that state that the rut will be on track from the 10th of November...on average, statewide. Sounds about right.

I would try to setup along a bedding or feeding corridor where you know does are plentiful. The big boys won't be too far away now. If you're seeing a good amount of does where you're setup now, I'd hold tight and let it play out for you.

Thanks Canned Heat, I am seeing alot of does. I think I am on a transition line from the bedding area to the feeding area. The property I am hunting on is surrounded by corn fields on 3 sides within 200 yards of my stand, which is in some semi-thick oak woods about 30 yards off a field. I believe they are bedding in a protected park area about 100200 yards in the other direction. I am seeing deer between 530 am - 830am and then again from 530pm - dark. never any other time!? Wellgood luck hunting this season, I hope you get what your out for!
