All of my shotguns have wood stocks and blue'd barrels. Is there a good camo tape for a shotgun that will be easy to remove from the gun when turkey season is over? I do not want to ruin the existing finish on my guns.

I've used the plastic or vinyl tape with no problem. I used to put WD-40 on the metal before applying the tape and had no problem with rust underneath or residue when I removed it. If you have an oil finish on your wood stock that doesn't shine, don't worry about taping the wood.

STAY AWAY FROM THE NO MAR TAPE!!!! I put no mar on both my rifle and my shotgun because it said it left no sticky residue...ITS A LIE! I had to scrub my guns for about 2 hours each before i got the sticky residue off my guns and it is still all marked up from it. Just a warning for you because my friend used it and had the same problem.

Use Denatured Alcohol, won't leave a residue on the metal.
Isopropyl Alcohol will clean the metal but will leave a reidue,Denatured Alcohol won't.
All other product's you use will leave a residue.
Must lightly oil all metal parts when done.

i oil my gun before i tape it and thats big,and if i get caught in a good rain i remove it,oil it,and tape it again that night.if you leave it your going to have a rust dilema and spend plenty of time removing it.bottom line, take care of your gun.
