Hawaii has two turkey seasons. There is no hunter orange requirement for spring turkey; bearded birds only; season. The spring season is only on the Big Island. Camo & calls, no dogs, 2/day with a 3/season limit. The fall season, roughly mid-Nov to mid-Jan, is actually the Public Bird season. Hunter orange is required during this season, because other upland birds are open too. During the "fall season" hens or toms are legal; 1/day. Most of the turkeys taken during the public bird season are found with dogs.
