Theoeticaly do you think one could release turkeys in England? Anyone know how to go about it as they wouldnt be wild ones that were released? Do they have any specific needs or are they very adaptable?

I'm not really qualified to give you a difinitive answer but from what I've learned about turkeys they are very adaptable to a variety of climates. The release of domestic birds has historically failed. Trapping free ranging wild birds and transplanting them appears to be the optimum tactic. Of course, this has to be sanctioned by whatever wildlife agency that handles such things over there. It is an interesting thought.

yea it seems like it could work, they're pretty much adabtable to any habitat here in the USA.
